HOW TO REACH UMBRIA

BY CAR:      ViaMichelin          

  • From northern Italy:  - E45 road from Cesena to Roma

                                    - A1 motorway from Bologna to Roma, exit Valdichiana/Bettolle/Perugia

  • From Southern Italy:  - S.S. ADRIATICA N. 77 road from Macerata to Foligno

                                    - A1 motorway from Roma to Firenze, exit Orte  

 

BY PLANE:

  • Roma airports-FIUMICINO and CIAMPINO: www.adr.it

Driving instructions from Fiumicino Airport: from the airport follow signs to ROMA and enter in the motorway. Then follow signs to FIRENZE A1. Exit at FIRENZE A1/AURELIA and drive to the left side of the road direction FIRENZE. Continue driving on the right side, then enter the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) driving on the left side of the road direction FIRENZE. Exit at USCITA 10/FIRENZE A1. Continue on the motorway till the exit ORTE. Continue as indicated in your map.

Exit from the airport and turn to the left, drive for about km 1.2 then turn to the right direction PERUGIA 10/OSPEDALICCHIO 0.6. Drive straight on, pass the railway line and at the stop turn to the right. At the second stop continue straight on till the roundabout: here continue direction perugia.

To go direction Perugia - Todi or Gubbio - Umbertide: turn to the left and enter in the motorway.  

To go direction Assisi - Foligno - Spoleto:  continue straight on, pass under the bridge, drive to the right direction Foligno and enter in the motorway.

 

         

From Ancona/Falconara airport, take the road S.S. 76 direction Fabriano. Pass the exits to Iesi and Fabriano and continue straight on untill you reach loc. Osteria del Gatto. Here take the road S.S. 318 and drive direction Perugia. Pass the towns Casacastalda and Valfabbrica and drive direction Perugia.
